Meet our Team
Katherine Mathes Bullock
As the leader of mathes and co events, Katherine oversees the team throughout day-to-day planning. Katherine attended The Hockaday School of Dallas and went on to attend Vanderbilt University. After graduating in 2001, Katherine took a one-year fellowship in the UK with Lloyds of London. Upon her return to Dallas, Katherine worked with a high-end rental company where she discovered her love of events. In 2005, Katherine branched out and launched mathes and co events with the goal of providing the highest quality customer service while simultaneously creating memorable events. Katherine’s eye for detail and fearlessness to go the extra mile allows her to take each event she touches to the next level. “We focus on the details of the event from the moment your first guest walks in until the last guest departs. As each layer of the event evolves, we want to consider the guest experience the entire time.” Katherine is a member of the Junior League of Dallas, and formerly served on the Alumna Committee of the Hockaday School. She is a past chair of the DMA Junior Associates and past member of the Forum at the Dallas Museum of Art. Katherine and her husband, Ken, enjoy spending time off at the lake with their son, Bowden and black lab, Bear.
Born and raised in Dallas, Emily attended Ursuline Academy and went on to The University of Kansas where she graduated with a Journalism degree. In 2008, Emily joined the mathes and co team, where she has worked to execute hundreds of events. Emily has a knack for etiquette and traditional taste and enjoys working with new clients to help to shape their concepts into reality. “I love being able to sit down at an initial meeting and talk through the client’s ideas and then work to execute their vision perfectly.” When she isn’t working on events, Emily enjoys entertaining friends and family, cooking, and spending time with her husband, Andrew, and their dog, Daisy.
Lauren Ozanus joined mathes and co in 2011. Prior to her arrival, she worked with the United Way of Metropolitan Dallas. She is a 2009 graduate from Oklahoma State University with a degree in Hotel and Restaurant Administration. Lauren is active in the Dallas community, and enjoys volunteering for the Dallas Children’s Advocacy Center and the United Way. Additionally, she is an active member of the Junior League of Dallas. Lauren handles both large and small-scale events from start to finish. Her creativity, can-do attitude, and ability to multi-task makes her an asset to every event she is a part of, and her calm demeanor allows her to accomplish each task she is given with ease. In her downtime, Lauren enjoys traveling, spin class, and spending quality time with her family, friends and yellow lab, Koda.
Lauren Loftis grew up in Dallas and graduated from Highland Park High School. She went on to attend Texas Tech University to study fashion design, retail, and studio art. Lauren graduated in 2012 and returned to Dallas to work for Jan Strimple Productions, where she loved the fast-paced and creative environment of fashion. In 2013, Lauren joined the mathes and co team. Focusing on every detail, she is passionate to create the perfect event for clients, reflecting their individual style, theme and personality. “Each client that comes in is different than the one before. It is our job to make sure their event is a true representation of their style.” Lauren is married to her high school sweetheart, Teal. When she isn’t on the job, Lauren loves hosting dinners for friends, spending time with her family, and taking her two labs, Maya and Abbie on walks.
Lauren Phillips is the Invitation Director for our sister company, the Mathes collection, a custom invitation and design shop. She is a Dallas native and a graduate of Ursuline Academy of Dallas and Ole Miss. Following a position with Neiman Marcus, Lauren joined our team in 2010 and has been creating stunning wedding invitations, themed event invitations and branded corporate pieces ever since. “I love developing long-lasting relationships with clients and watching them evolve over the years – from creating their wedding invitations to baby shower invitations, birth announcements and then other monumental milestones throughout their lives.” When Lauren isn’t running to the Post Office to mail her latest creations, she loves pilates, spending time with her family and friends, and cooking with her husband Ben and their maltipoo, Lola.
