Back-To-School Swim Party Tips!

This current 100 degree Dallas heat is enough to motivate anyone to throw a swim party. Now that we are getting closer to the end of July, the school year is just around the corner. Thus, back-to-school swim parties will soon be popping up on nearly every family's calendar. This year let us help you plan the perfect swim party to enjoy time with friends and family before the school year begins. Here are a few tips and tricks we have for you to make your back-to-school swim party the best one yet!

Tip #1: Festive Pool Floats. When it comes to pool parties, these are a staple. We recommend stopping by Tuesday Morning or Party Bazaar to pick up a few and make your typical dip in the pool a bit more festive for the occasion. Other options may be found at Target, Walmart, or The Toy Maven. Here are a few floats that we are loving right now.

Tip #2: Frozen Treats. After the kids splash in the pool, offer them a frozen treat to snack on while parents come pick up their kids. This will leave the swimmers happy and the parents even happier as they will not have to search for their kids in the pool. They will also have plenty of time to dry off before the car ride home. You can find popsicles at your local grocery or buy LaCroix and make some yourself! Simply pour any soft drink into popsicle molds and add sliced fresh fruit for added flavor. If there will be adults aged 21 or older at your party, we suggest you try making a few poptails (popsicle cocktails).

Tip #3: Invest in a Piñata. While swimming is the perfect summer activity, we recommend having one other activity planned for your party. A piñata is a simple way to get the whole party involved in one activity and it is super easy to plan. For this back-to-school party, we recommend stuffing your piñata with pens, pencils, erasers, and any other school supplies that the kids would enjoy. Of course, candy is always great too.
